Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet town situated on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of communities. People who have never known about it may think it is an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. But it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice near Oshawa, Ontario. She wanted to become a professional dancer but because of a huge growth spurt she outgrew every dance partner she met. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I reached the height of my male counterparts then I stopped. Some former dancers switch to acting, and in the case of Brugel, it was a nudge from the drama instructor at her high school who led her in the right direction. Teacher who recommended she try to get a role for school's annual play. She auditioned and was cast in the role of Anne of Green Gables. It led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. For the last twenty years, Brugel's work been featured on both the small and big screen. Her work gained most attention when she won her role as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was filmed over ten years ago.
