She is most famous as Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. For this role she won the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for Best Female Supporting actress. Between 2008 and 2010, she reprised the character in the film Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. The actress is also famous for her role as the lead in the 1980s films Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall is most often associated with her popular HBO sitcom Sex & the City, where she played Samantha Jones. The most famous of her roles was portraying the character La Dolce Vita, a comedy-drama. The film was both a critical and commercial success and won an award of the Golden Palm and Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. She was born in Skane Sweden and had a career as a fashion model before beginning her acting profession. She was crowned Miss Sweden. In the US the actress began to appear in films with small roles. She was the Venusian Guard in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, her first credit role. Later that year following her appearance as a character in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most promising newcomer category.
